Bio    
 

Kerimbek Bukar [Akmatov] was born in Akterek Village, Issyk-Kul Region, Kyrgyz Republic, in 1959, and has participated in national and international exhibitions since 1988 as a member of the Union of Artists. He is an innovative printmaker exhibiting his large, multiple-section lithographic prints in solo and group exhibitions throughout Asia and Europe. In 2005, he also participated in the CEC ArtsLink/Vermont Studio Residency Program. His works reside in the Kyrgyz Sate Museum of Art, Russian Academy of Arts, Museum of Modern Arts [Moscow], among others, and in private collections throughout Europe and Asia.
