I am very inspired by traditional photography, but also by other forms of printmaking and art. I like that the digital revolution has enabled us to take things from both worlds. Photography suddenly becomes much more flexible. No longer are you governed by the idea of taking the perfect shot. You can use various pictures to make a new whole. And, in working with a computer, you don’t have to shout that you are working with a computer, it is simply one new tool added to a very old tradition.

In these prints, I worked with photographs that I took myself. I collaged them digitally with various backgrounds and textures. Far from appearing ‘computer generated’, they are inspired by print making techniques that have been around a long time. Printing them on fine art paper also gave them a non-photographic feel.
