In a world where speed has its mark in our souls, the traditional printmaking artist [creator] seems like a person from another century [in part because the artistic process and the materials used by the artists hardly changed], when the idea of time and personal space was different. To try and find beauty in small dimensions, to go through every stage of the artistic process with patience and care, is at the opposite pole to the kind of image that the society today is selling. And the public, the true art lovers must also have the patience to read the message sent by the artist’s work of art, and also appreciate its technical quality. Today’s artist addresses a public that knows just like him that sometimes you have to take a break from the speed in which he lives and stop the time in order to enjoy some unique moments full of feeling. For the artist and their public, the work of art is today a breath of fresh air, a profound search inside one’s soul. It’s hard to take a break today, but if you don’t, you can’t enjoy the present, think about the past, or prepare for the future.
