Born in 1963, in Poznan, Poland, Marcin Surzycki studied at the Graphic Art Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Poland. From 1988–89, he was awarded a grant by the Ministry of Art and Culture. He graduated in 1989 in the intaglio workshop of Professor Andrzej Pietsch. He is currently a tutor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. He is a member of the International Print Triennial Association. He works in the disciplines of graphic print and drawing.
