No other has lived exactly as I have, and all of the facets of my life are equally important. My artwork would not do justice unless it conveys some fraction of who I am. May it be religion, friends, family, or the objects that proliferate throughout my life, each holds a place of importance. I am who I am because of these things and so much more. What better way to show it than through the things that I hold dearest—ART? Whatever the viewer takes away from one of my pieces, one thing is for sure—they will have seen a piece of me, through my work, and done by my own hands. Perhaps this will lead to a greater understanding of how they themselves view the world, or how they perceive others, and I believe that understanding always leads to positive changes. Thus, I might say that in an abstract way, I am attempting to create positive changes in the world one piece of art at a time.

I see potential in everything around me. Digital Photography allows me to take that potential and turn whatever I choose into a work of art. Many times I feel that I am simply fine tuning a good photograph much like a traditional photographer would in a dark room, the only difference being that my work is done on a computer at a desk. However, sometimes, I am drawn to much more creative realms, where I use the computer as a tool to take digital images and turn them into digital paintings. This I think lends to more original images that are extremely unique. The final step for me, for now, is to have them printed commercially, though eventually I would like to accomplish that in my own studio as well.
