Statement

Capturing and sharing with viewers the feeling of the moment, the vibrations or the memories of them is what I derive challenge and pleasure from. For me, this can be achieved with colour and relief.

Printmaking techniques of collography and etching, on which I spend most of my time, allow me to express myself visually. The creativity required in the plate development stage and the discipline required at the printing stage both represent challenges that equally appeal to me.

I like to experiment with all aspects of printmaking: digital, artist books, monotype, etc. . . . I also, occasionally, add handmade paper sculptures to my prints or take elements from my prints and convert them into a sculpture.

Collographs
Using all kinds of materials to create backgrounds and textures such as acrylic medium, acrylic gel, gesso, modeling paste, etc., . . . I glue on the cardboard, using one of these materials, eggshells [which make beautiful rocks], ropes, feathers, flower petals, grocery bags [for mountains], etc., . . . I then apply coats of acrylic medium: matte better accepts the ink while glossy helps make inks almost transparent. I then ink using multiple colors and print.
